Learn how to fix crashing and freezing in FIFA on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, or PC.
If you’re the owner of a next gen console and FIFA14, chances are you’ve ran in to some problems with freezing or crashing.
This crashing and freezing is not related to broken consoles, scratched discs or anything of the sort. It’s related to your profile in FIFA14 and it’s easy to fix.
Once you make a quick change in your profile you’ll be able to enjoy FIFA14 for Xbox One or PS4 without all the freezing and crashing involved.
Step 1: Disconnect your Xbox or Playstation from the network
Make sure you disconnect from your network before moving forward. You can do so by going to your Settings > Network > Disconnect from Network
Step 2: Start FIFA
Make sure you have closed or quit out of FIFA after disconnecting from the network
Step 3: Navigate to ‘Customize > Settings’
This may be different in newer games, but you’re looking for general game settings.
Step 4: Change the Referee
Switch to any referee, other than the default one.
Step 5: Navigate to ‘Profile’ tab. Click on ‘Save Profile’.
Make sure you save your profile before reconnecting. There will be a pop up modal that asks you to confirm your changes. Click ‘yes’
Step 6: Restart, Reconnect, and Reboot FIFA
Always try to reset your network to flush the cache and reprioritize devices.
